Healthy Teens CT!

The 2008 session began February 6th and Planned Parenthood of CT working with the Healthy Teens Connecticut Coalition supports legislation that would help ensure that Connecticut's young people have access to comprehensive, age-appropriate, medically accurate sex education information to help them make responsible choices about sex and their sexual health. The Healthy Teens Act will establish incentive grants which will be to support programs that provide age appropriate sex education to students and to support programs that train teachers or educate parents on providing sexuality education to their children. End Gender Discrimination in CT!

The Anti-Discrimination Coalition will again be working on improving Connecticut’s non-discrimination law this legislative session. Last session the bill (An Act Concerning Discrimination) was voted favorable out of several Committees and the Senate; however the session came to an end before the House could vote.
